Start with 11 counters for 3–5 players, 9 for six, or 7 for seven. Nine of the 33 cards (3–35) are removed unseen. Take the face-up card and its counters, then decide on the next card; or pay a counter to pass the decision clockwise. With no counters, you must take. Each consecutive run only scores its lowest card. Subtract leftover counters; lowest total wins.
