Two-player Chinese chess. Red starts. Horse legs and elephant eyes can be blocked; elephants cannot cross the river; advisors and generals stay in the palace. Cannons capture across exactly one screen, and generals cannot face each other. Self-check is illegal. Checkmate or having no legal move loses. This casual edition draws on three occurrences of the same position with the same side to move, or 120 plies without a capture or forward soldier move. Tournament perpetual-check/chase adjudication is not used. Resigning is allowed.
