52 cards, opposite partners,13 each; Ace high. Dealer’s left bids first, each 0–13, no pass. Zero is Nil. Spades always trump. Follow led suit if able; otherwise play any card. Do not lead spades until broken, unless holding only spades. Highest spade, or highest led-suit card, wins and leads next. Add non-Nil bids: make contract for 10 ×bid plus overtricks, or lose 10 ×bid if set. Each overtrick is a 1-point bag; every 10 cumulative bags deduct 100, remainder carries. Nil scores separately: +100/−100; failed Nil tricks do not help partner or become bags. After 13 tricks host starts next deal, rotating dealer. First team to 500 with higher score wins; ties play an extra hand. Bicycle play foundations with UChicago’s complete partnership scoring, not Bicycle’s minimum-one individual version. No Blind Nil.
